| How We Met In May 2008 Jennifer landed a writing position at a career resource website. In a really boring new employee session shortly thereafter, she spied a cute, geeky guy in a hoodie. "Maybe this benefits meeting will actually prove interesting," she wondered. Little did she know that this would be the beginning of a crush from afar that would lead her in a very interesting direction. From then on Jennifer started smiling at this quiet, bespectacled guy as she came in every morning, and eventually he smiled back. When all this smiling got her nowhere, Jennifer asked her boss Linda to ask a coworker, who sat next to the mystery man, to get some intel on her target. After a little information gathering, she found out the mystery man's name was Alexis and he had a fabulous French accent. As luck would have it, Linda was in the process of looking for an apartment in the same neighborhood as Alexis lived and got to know Alexis a little better. She reported back to Jennifer. It was finally go-time! On the eve of Labor Day weekend, Jennifer came up with a fail-safe plan to invite co-workers and Alexis to drinks to start the long weekend off right. Little did she know, co-workers Linda and Stephanie plotted to make this happy hour a little more intimate than Jennifer expected. At the appointed bar, it ended up just being Alexis, Jennifer, and a friend outside of work, Harold. Alexis and Jennifer proceeded to have a great evening that night laughing, sharing, and getting to know each other. And from that evening, Jennifer and Alexis were inseparable. |
Comment nous nous sommes rencontrés En mai 2008, Jennifer décrocha un poste de rédactrice sur un site de ressources de carrière. Pendant une session assommante réservée aux nouveaux employés, elle aperçut un mec mignon, un peu geek, emmitouflé dans un sweat à capuche. "Peut-être que cette réunion est plus intéressante qu'il n'y paraît» remarqua-t'elle. Ce qu'elle ignorait c'est que ce serait le début d'un béguin qui les mènerait dans une direction surprenante. Dès lors Jennifer commença à sourire à ce gars tranquille en arrivant au bureau tous les matins, et, enfin, il lui sourit en retour. Comme tous ces sourires ne la menaient nulle part, Jennifer demanda à sa boss, Linda d'interroger une collègue, assise à côté de cet homme mystérieux, afin d'obtenir des infos sur sa cible. Tout ce qu'elle put collecter fut son nom, Alexis, et qu'il avait un superbe accent français. Par chance, Linda était en train de chercher un appartement dans le même quartier que celui d'Alexis ce qui lui permis de le connaître un peu mieux. Elle fit son rapport à Jennifer.. Finalement c'était le Jour J! A la veille du week-end de Labor Day, Jennifer avait monté un plan infaillible qui consistait à inviter pour l'apéro ses collègues ainsi qu'Alexis afin de lancer le long week-end d'un bon pied. Mais elle ignorait que ses collègues Linda et Stephanie s'étaient arrangées pour donner un peu plus d'intimité à cette happy hour. Au bar nommé, seuls se retrouvèrent Alexis, Jennifer, et un ami en dehors du travail, Harold. Alexis et Jennifer passèrent cette soirée à rire, découvrir et apprendre à se connaître. Et depuis cette nuit là, Jennifer et Alexis sont inséparables. |
